80 Days World Cuisine - Global Culture

In Navi Mumbai there are very few good places which actually serve good food. As usual i was looking for a new & bright place, and i found out this. The name itself won my heart.
Starting with the ambience it perefectly matches its name. I dont know why i could see london theme all over this place. The Flags on seats looked appealing.
I ordered Nachos & Salsa for starters. Presentation was average also the taste was average.
Being a vegetarian i ordered a Veg Burger & Classic Mac & Cheese pasta. The burger had two patty inside along with jalepenos. I can say this was one of the best veg burger i had. The pasta was average.
Coming to desserts we ordered Tiramisu & New York baked cheese cake. The Tiramisu was good but The NY Cheese cake blown away my mind. It was just too yummy.
NY Cheese cake is what i recommend as the must have dish here. Just too good.
As we went in the afternoon it was not much crowded only 2-3 tables were occupied.
The Staff was excellent. The waiter who served us was very friendly. We took pictures all over the place.
This was a great expereince with friends & i am definetely coming back soon.

Meeting my Inspiration

Everyone has a inspiration in life, which gives you energy to stay strong & impel you to be a good person. Sometimes our inspiration can be our teachers, parents, actors but my life's biggest inspiration comes from a guy named Louis Cole. He is a british youtuber. He makes daily videos of his life. His videos are nothing less than an adventure which he lives each day. I found this guy on Instagram first then later i found he makes youtube videos & that single click changed my life. He travels all around the world like a nomad & enjoys his life. His inspiring character & motivational talks makes to believe in your self. He once talked about his past in one video, how he was born & brought up in UK. His life story truely is inspiring. He travels the world but never complains about the surrounding, he adjusts. His helping nature buys him alot of friends.

So this time he was travelling to Mumbai, India with Steve booker who is his another youtuber friend. I also admire him alot. He coming mumbai was a shock to me. His snapchat told me he is coming to mumbai. I couldn't sleep the whole night. I was just waiting when he would tweet about the meetup & finally on 11th of october he tweeted the place for meetup. I came to know about that a bit late. On the way to the meetup me & my friends got stuck in traffic for 45 minutes. But we made it to the venue. I was literally running to find louis & i found this tall, white guy, drinking coffee surrounded by a bunch of people. Yeah Louis ! i shouted. My eyes were in tears when i saw him. I gave him a handshake & took photos with him. We chatted about life, youtube & stuff. He was eager to know which places we would suggest him to visit in mumbai. He loved the taxi rides, the crowd & tuk tuks(rikshaw). He told about his plans for next few months. I gave my Being Human band which he happily accepted & wore it. He was so humble he gave his new iPhone 6 to see the features. He was willing to go for a bhangra/bollywood club where he could dance. A girl in the crowd taught him bhangra which he did in a funny way. Steve also joined him.

I have seen many foreigners making fun on india about the poor people, dirty roads but Louis seemed to be enjoying it. He called it a real life. He also told that he is going to visit Dharavi (asia's biggest slum). We talked for hours with a dance in the end ! it was lovely meeting him in person. Steve was also a kind person. He thanked me personally for coming to the meetup. It was one of the best evening ever. I took cool snapchats with him. He was never hesitated to take photos. He finally left the place with steve. I am also seen in his mumbai vlog which makes me very happy. Go follow this piece of inspiration.

Chocolate Brownies (Eggless)

Being a complete vegetarian its difficult to find a bakery which serves eggless cakes/brownies. So i thought why not bake it myself. This recipe has no egg ! This is a simple method & all ingredients are easily available at local general stores.

Ingredients:
  • 250 gm chopped dark chocolate
  • 250 gm butter
  • 50 gm cocoa powder
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 20 gm flour
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp baking powder

Step 1: Mix Brown sugar, Baking Powder & Yogurt well till the sugar melts completely.
Set the mixture 1 aside.

Step 2: Melt the dark chocolate & butter together till it forms a proper mixture. For melting the chocolate using microwave oven is the best method. Chop the chocolate into pieces & add butter. Set the microwave for 2-3 minutes, keep checking the mixture. stir the mixture in between. Now add cocoa powder into the melted mixture. Set the mixture 2 aside.

Step 3: Add the mixture 1 with mixture 2.

Step 4: Pre-heat the microwave at 180 degrees. Apply some butter & flour to the baking bowl. Now set the microwave for 25 minutes until the mixture completely bakes. Take a spoon/knife with butter applied & prick the mixture to see its baked. If the mixture sticks to it, its not baked & if it doesn't your brownie is ready !

If you have doubts regarding the procedure comment below.

Zomato: A Better way to find FOOD !

Earlier we used to eat food recommended by our friends & families or either google the best place to eat. But since Zomato was launched in July 2008 the way to find food became more spontaneous. The website had tons of restaurants/cafès on the list. I found about the zomato mobile app few years back which was quite constructive. I recommended it to my friends & they were delighted to use it with such an ease.

Every year they make significant product changes & takes feedback from the users. Here are my Like & Dislikes/Recommendation.

Likes:

1) Exploring categories - This is my most esteemed feature of zomato. From Student favs to Pocket Friendly they have all categories. Being a vegan zomato provides a list of trending restaurants of the week.

2) Profile Feature - Another enthralling feature on zomato. Like any other social media sites we can make our own profile with a user name. We can follow the paramount food lovers & also read their magnificent reviews.

3) SpeedDial Feature - Like we have a list of family members/friends on our speed dial, equivalently zomato let the users to add their fav resto/café on a speed dial. Isn't that marvelous ? & the best thing is that we can use this feature offline.

Recommendations:

1) Booking tables - Acknowledge we are in a low signal area where making a call at restaurant to book tables is infeasible but we have a working wifi network we could easily book tables online. Sometimes even after numerous calls the restaurant staff doesn't respond. This feature can also display the status of your booking, like is it confirmed or on hold.

2) Discount Coupons - Who doesn't like discounts? Collaborating with restaurants, zomato can provide discounts on online orders or booking tables. This will allure more customers which will benefit both zomato & restaurant owners.

3) Video Reviews - As it is said all that glitters is not gold likewise the food photos uploaded are never comparable with actual food items. A small video about the dish can help us decide the quality & quantity in real.

Vacation Planning

After a whole month my engineering exams have finally ended. It feels like i have been writing exams since ages. We have a 15 days vacation, a pretty small. But i have decided to something productive this vacations instead of just chilling with friends.
I have thought of reading some books this time.I just checked amazon & they have a variety of cool books. Ordered 2 books 1) Things a little bird told me & 2) Da Vinci Code. Got nice reviews about both the books. Another thing i have planned is to take my health seriously now. Every time i see guys having a cool physique i get jealous & look at myself. So i will start some home exercises, if possible running/jogging if rains stop. Also will follow a diet, stop eating all junk food & get used to eating healthy food items. Also i am editing my videos of my USA Usa trip which will be completed soon. I also need to join some vocabulary classes or atleast read some literature books as i am planning to give TOEFL & GRE for my further studies. So many things to do in such a little time. I hope i live upon my expectations.
You guys can suggest me some good books/movies. My twitter handle is @_EatBurpRepeat.
OK BYE.

Best Food Places in Panvel

This blog is basically for food places in Panvel ( navi mumbai). All places that i will mention are my personal favourite & may differ for others. Panvel has very few good restaurants but the few are amazing. There are many snack/chinese corner which are pretty famous among the teenagers here.
I will mention the restaurant/snack corner name & their speciality.

1) Neel Kamal family restaurant & bar: The best thing i like about this place is their fast service. The quality & quantity both are superb. You many have to book a table or else have to wait in que as this place is crowded on weekends. They serve best punjabi dishes in panvel. I like their Veegetable biryani & Kashmiri pulao. Butter Kulcha with any panner vegetable is superb. Try the spring roll they are delicious. The only thing i need to suggest them is that they should add more variety in dishes. Thr staff is polite & their home delivery is also very fast.
Address- Opposite to Panvel railway station ,New Panvel.

2) Njoy Chinese corner: Many people love this place as well as hate it. The main reason is that they are not hygenic. Thier are flies & smoke all over the place. But i would like to tell something, this place is over crowded during weekdays as this is the spot for college students for thier lunch. But if you go on weekends this is the best place for chinese in panvel. Cheese frankie & cold coffee is drooling. Place is pretty ugly many times but good for quick bite. I will only suggest them to improve on hygiene & quality.
Address- Near Pillai college, New Panvel.

3) Kamdhenu snacks: The hygenic snack corner in whole panvel & this is what attract people. The place is bit small but it doesnt matter over the quality & taste. They offer everything from Chat-Samosa-Sandwitches-Pav Bhaji- Pizza- juices etc. But the best thing to try is the cheese grilled sandwitch. The chat is also pretty good. Overall this place is quick recomendation for quick snacks.
Address- opposite new panvel petrol pump.

4) Waghes: When you want to have the best vada-pav in town this is the place. They have the best vada-pav in whole navi mumbai i can say. Vada pav is their only speciality. Bread pattice is also very tasty. Thier sukha chatni is the best ever. They had a branch in New. Panvel but due to some reason they had to close it. But the old panvel shop is still running.
Address- Old Panvel( ask anyone about waghes they will know it)

5) Cafe Chocolade: Basically a ice cream parlour but they have a variety of juices/shakes/brownies/sandwitches etc. Dont miss the chocolate shots & sizzling brownie with ice cream. The place is pretty good to hangout with friends. Mostly college students chill here.
Address: Old Panvel ( near kawasaki showroom), New Panvel ( near d mart)

These were the top 5 recomandations from me, but thier are many other places which are good. For any query comment on this blog or mail me : gdabangg@gmail.com
